Casa do Pico is Madeira Remote's main coliving house, in the historic centre of Funchal, a 5-minute walk from the seafront and the old town. Run by Madeira Friends — the community of 17,300 digital nomads and remote workers on the island since 2020 — it is designed for those looking for more than a room: a community. The house sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 private rooms (Strelitzia, Hortênsia, Protea, Buganvília and Orquídea), all with a queen or double bed, a desk, 500 Mbps fibre WiFi, blackout blinds and individual air conditioning. Strelitzia has a private ensuite bathroom; the other four rooms share communal bathrooms. Shared areas: fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with a sea view, sunny terrace and laundry (washer and dryer). Included: water, electricity, gas, internet, fortnightly cleaning, bed linen and towels. Coworking is included at the Madeira Friends Hub, a 5-minute walk away, with free access during the day, meeting rooms and printing.
